Geography of Absence is a photographic project in development by Canada-based artist Mina Bakhshi. Through urban landscapes emptied of human presence, it explores how grief, migration and loss transform our perception of places. The photographs do not narrate an event. Walls, fences, abandoned objects, concrete surfaces and temporary spaces form a geography in which absence acquires a presence of its own.
