Blue Without Water

Blue Without Water is a participatory environmental art project initiated in Iran in 2016. People donate a personal piece of blue fabric connected to a memory. Sewn together in local workshops, the fragments form a textile river installed across dry riverbeds. The project has collected more than 2,500 square metres of blue fabric, including an intervention on the Zayandeh Rud.
